Ladies European Tour returns to Machynys

The ever popular S4C Wales Ladies Championship of Europe will, once again, return to the Nicklaus designed course at Machynys Peninsula Golf & Country Club.
This event is one of the richest tournaments on the Ladies European Tour and has always proved very popular with the spectators. As the course layout is flat, it is easy walking and there are several vantage points to watch the action on several holes at once.
The championship will take place between 14 and 17 August and will have a variety of displays for everyone to enjoy. There will be the usual public catering & eating facilities, scoreboard and media centre as well as the exhibition stands. However, this year there should be entertainment for the children too. Dragon Sport will be there with their Tri-golf activities for the children to enjoy. It is a great way for them to be introduced to the game and it really is great entertainment.
Also, this year some of the professionals will be holding a Junior Clinic. Eighteen young girls, from local schools and golf clubs will have the opportunity to learn new ways of chipping and will also be given valuable tips and advice from six of the lady professionals. All of this will take place on Wednesday 13 August between 3.00 and 6.00pm. However, girls, don't worry if you haven't been chosen, as you can still go along and listen to what is being said - you never know, you may still pick up a tip or two yourselves.
There you have it - the S4C Wales Ladies Championship of Europe - a great 4-day event that will have the whole family enjoying themselves.
Free tickets will be available, in advance, at all golf clubs. If, however, you don't manage to get your complimentary tickets you can still attend the event by paying £5 at the entrance.
